Wisco Home Goods
Created in the fall of 2017, Wisco Home Goods is a Wisconsin shop that primarily focuses on scents. From candles to hand soaps and everything in between! Plus - their quirky candle names make shopping so much more fun! We’re suckers for their “No Place Like Home” and “Vanilla Abundance” candles.
Shopping for the kiddos this year? Head to Ruckus and Glee in Wauwatosa (or shop online!). Ruckus and Glee is locally owned by husband-wife team Matthew Poulson and Sarah Fowles, and their inventory is inspired by their daughter. Best known for selling the best toys, books and games around, you’re sure to find the perfect gift for the little ones in your life!
Your artsy little ones will love the “Christmas Magic Painting Book” or their “Holiday Buttons” kit. They have a full Winter Holidays Collection, so you really can’t go wrong!
Giltee
Another Wauwatosa couple are the founders and owners of Giltee, a community inspired premium apparel and design company. Any Wisconsinite will appreciate a hand-selected gift from Giltee. They offer everything from Wisco beanies, to Tosa tees and exclusive 414 designs. Your beer loving Wisconsin friends will love their “Wet Your Wisco Unisex Triblend Tee,” while everyone can get on board with their classic “Wisco Roots Red Hoodie” in Badger Red. They even have the little ones covered with their onesies. We love this cute “The Wisco Roots Green Onesie.”
JnJ Handmade
This Verona, Wisconsin based shop has the most adorable handmade gifts. From puzzles and craft kits, to home and holiday decor, you can’t go wrong! They even offer a Wisconsin Collection for all of your Wisconsin lovers (or for the friends and family you struggle to find gifts for - Wisconsin is the way to go!). Their Wisconsin products are handmade in Wisconsin by various independent artists, so you’re supporting a local biz who is supporting local artists. Win, win!
Their “Globe Christmas Ornaments” are absolutely stunning and come in a variety of colors. A Wisconsin map with a theme is also a great option! From Wisconsin breweries to state parks and forests, they have a map that will fit just about anyone’s interests.
If you’re looking to give sustainably this year, or have an eco-conscious individual in mind, the Glass Pantry is a great place to go for zero waste shopping! You bring the containers, they provide the goods - in the form of dry goods, liquid goods and household & personal products. From teas to chocolate, spices and even lotions and detergents, The Glass Pantry really has it all! You get to choose the quantity of whatever you’d like to purchase and then pay by the weight. You can bring your own glass or plastic containers, or they provide paper bags of different sizes. All products come from businesses committed to sustainability and low waste - most of which are local and organic!
You can find the Glass Pantry in Milwaukee, where they are open Tuesday through Saturday.
Papyrus and Charms
This local Milwaukee shop specializes in handmade, African inspired jewelry and body products. Lilo Allen brought Papyrus and Charms to life and is borne out of her pride for her African American and Jamaican culture. Papyrus and Charms has the perfect piece for the jewelry lover on your list. From gorg rings (the Orbit Oval Crystal Ring is so simple, yet so pretty!), to shiny necklaces (the Moon Phase Pendant is our fav!), you can’t go wrong at Papyrus and Charms!
Located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Agora Makers Market is the place to go for a variety of items from local Wisconsin makers. Founded by Cara Adams, Agora Makers Market is a locally themed store for makers to easily sell and showcase their goods. If you’re in the Stevens Point area, you can shop in store on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, or you can shop online!
Local maker, Tapped, offers a variety of local maple syrups, all unique flavors. From ginger infused to whiskey barrel-aged maple syrup, they have fantastic options for the adventurous foodie in your life. You can’t go wrong with a de-stressing gift, and the Agora Makers Market offers a variety of sweet smelling bath salts and soaps online. Plus, the Lavender & Chamomile Bath Salts come in a cute tin that can be reused!
Milwaukee Candle Company
Okay. So you know how we love our candles and delicious smells over here at W&P, and the Milwaukee Candle Company is a local biz that allows you to gift the gift of smells! If you’ve got a crafty adult on your list, the “DIY Candle Making Kit” is a PERFECT option! You can choose one of 17 different scents to come in the kit and then they have everything they need to make their own candle. Seriously, so fun! Plus this gift is a collab with another small biz, Glassnote Candle Bar. And it uses zero plastic packaging. Sustainable and fun!
