Curious about Mahjong but not sure where to start? Or maybe you’ve played before and just need a refresher to feel confident at the table again? You’re in the right place.
Join us at Wild & Precious Collective in Cedarburg for a fun, welcoming Mahjong 101 class designed for true beginners and anyone looking to brush up on the basics. This isn’t intimidating or overly technical. It’s social, relaxed, and actually fun to learn.
Led by Amy Schaal, founder and CEO of Wisco Mahjong Club and Lakelife Getaways, this class is built to get you comfortable at the table quickly without overwhelm.
We’ll walk you through everything you need to start playing:
• what the tiles mean
• how the game flows
• how to read the card
• an introduction to the Charleston and then we play
By the end, you’ll understand how Mahjong works and be ready to keep practicing, whether that’s at open play, a beginner’s league, or at your next class.
Come solo or bring a friend. No experience needed, all materials provided. Just show up ready to learn, laugh, and maybe get a little hooked!
